Save anything you want to keep
Request a Google Takeout archive at takeout.google.com. Select My Activity, click All activity data included, and select only Gemini Apps. The archive can take hours or days to arrive, so start it before you delete. The delete does not touch a Takeout file you have already downloaded.

Delete all activity
Open myactivity.google.com/product/gemini, click Delete, choose All time, and confirm. It is the same Delete menu that offers Last hour, Last day, and Custom range.

Delete your public links
In Gemini, open Settings > Your public links. Delete each link, or click Delete all links. If you skip this, anyone with an old link can still open the shared chat.

Stop new chats from being saved (optional)
On the Gemini Apps Activity page, turn Keep activity off. New chats then stop building a history, but Google still keeps them for 72 hours. If you only want old chats to clear on their own, set auto-delete to 3 months instead.

- No. The sidebar deletes one chat at a time. All time in Gemini Apps Activity is the delete-everything route.
- Will this delete my Google account or other Google data?
- No. It only clears Gemini Apps Activity. Search, YouTube, Gmail, and other Google data are separate and stay as they are.
- Why is there no delete option on my work account?
- On Google Workspace work and school accounts, the admin controls chat deletion, so the option may be missing. Ask your admin, or use a personal account for chats you want to control yourself.
- Can I delete everything except a few chats?
