How to delete multiple Gemini chats at once

The Gemini sidebar deletes one chat at a time, which is slow when you want to remove dozens. This guide covers the Gemini app at gemini.google.com, not Gemini inside Workspace apps or the API. The time-range delete is the only bulk tool, so the main choice is which range matches the chats you want gone. A custom range can clear old months and keep recent chats.

   Confirm which account you are cleaning

   Check the profile picture at the top right of Gemini. Personal Google accounts can delete chats. On a work or school account an admin may have turned deletion off, and then neither route below works.

   Open Gemini Apps Activity

   Go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini, or in Gemini open Settings > Activity. The page lists your saved activity and shows whether Keep activity is on.

   Delete by time range

   Click Delete and pick Last hour, Last day, All time, or Custom range. For a custom range, set a start and end date, for example everything before this year. A box asks you to confirm the deletion, so click Delete. The matching chats are gone from the Gemini sidebar when you reload it.

   Remove single chats from the sidebar

   To remove just a few chats, hover a chat in the left panel, click the More menu (three dots), and choose Delete. Google says that deleting a chat this way also removes its entry from Gemini Apps Activity.
