How to group ChatGPT conversations by topic

Some people organize by project. Others think in topics: marketing, engineering, writing, strategy. If you are a generalist or if your ChatGPT use spans many domains at once, topic-based grouping often makes more intuitive sense than project-based grouping. The folder system in GPT Master supports either model.

   Identify your five or six main topics

   Look at your last thirty ChatGPT conversations and write down what they are about. Group similar ones. The clusters that emerge are your folder names. Most people find they use ChatGPT for four to eight distinct topic areas.

   Create a folder and pick a color for each topic

   Open chatgpt.com with GPT Master installed and create one folder per topic. Use color deliberately: warm colors (red, orange) for urgent or high-stakes topics, cool colors (blue, teal) for reference or ongoing topics. This gives you a quick visual read before you even look at folder names.

   File threads as you finish them, not in bulk later

   Move each thread to its topic folder the moment you finish the conversation, before any backlog builds up. The action takes three seconds. Skipping it creates a backlog that makes the sidebar feel messy again.
